Prayer is at the heart of who we are as a church. We believe in the power of prayer and want to be a church family that carries one another’s burdens, celebrates together and seeks God in every season of life.

The KCA Prayer Network is a simple way for our church family to join together in prayer for significant needs and situations within the life of the church.

Those who join the Prayer Network receive occasional prayer requests, enabling us to stand together in faith and bring the needs of others before God.

How does the Prayer Network work?

Prayer requests are submitted to KCA and reviewed before being shared with the Prayer Network.

We want to make sure that requests are shared appropriately and that people’s privacy is protected. Requests may therefore be edited for length, clarity and confidentiality before being sent.

In most cases, we will share:

• A first name only

• A brief summary of the situation

• A simple focus for prayer

Prayer requests are shared through our KCA Prayer Network channel on Jovo.

Submit a prayer request

If you are facing a significant situation and would value the wider church family praying with you, you can submit a request to the KCA Prayer Network.

Prayer requests can include things such as:

• Significant health concerns

• Bereavement or family crises

• Major life situations

• Significant needs within the life of our church family

Please keep your request reasonably brief and let us know what you would particularly like us to pray for.

A few things to be aware of

We want the Prayer Network to enable us to pray together while also caring well for everyone involved.

All requests are reviewed before being shared and may be edited to protect privacy and confidentiality. Please be particularly careful when submitting a request on behalf of somebody else and consider whether they would be comfortable with their situation being shared.

The Prayer Network is designed for significant prayer needs rather than immediate emergencies or ongoing pastoral situations. If you need pastoral care or support, please contact the church office or speak to a member of the pastoral team.

Submitting a prayer request does not automatically mean that it will be shared with the Prayer Network. The KCA team will use discretion over which requests are appropriate to share and how they are communicated.

Join the Prayer Network

We’d love to have more of our KCA church family joining us in prayer.

The Prayer Network is open to those who are actively part of the life of KCA. If you regularly attend KCA, are part of a Small Group or serve on a team, have access to MyChurchSuite, and would like to commit to praying when requests are shared, we’d love to hear from you.

To join the Prayer Network, simply email prayer@kca.church and let us know that you’d like to be added.

We use Jovo for the Prayer Network. Jovo is a group communication app similar to WhatsApp, but with additional safeguarding and privacy controls. Your phone number and contact details are not visible to other members, and members cannot privately message one another through the Prayer Network.
