I Stand Amazed

I stand amazed in the presence
Of Jesus the Nazarene
And wonder how He could love me
A sinner condemned, unclean

How marvelous, how wonderful
And my song will ever be
How marvelous, how wonderful
Is my Saviour's love for me

He took my sins and my sorrows
He made them his very own
He bore the burden to Calvary
He suffered and died for me

How marvelous, how wonderful
And my song shall ever be
How marvelous, how wonderful
Is my Saviour's love for me

When with ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see
It will be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me

How marvelous, how wonderful
And my song shall ever be
How marvelous, how wonderful
Is my Saviour's love for me

He Is Lord

He is Lord, He is Lord!
He is risen from the dead and he is Lord!
Ev'ry knee shall bow, ev'ry tongue confess
That Jesus Christ is Lord.

Thine Be The Glory

Thine be the glory, risen, conquering Son,
endless is the victory thou o’er death hast won;
Angels in bright raiment rolled the stone away,
kept the folded grave-clothes where thy body lay.

Thine be the glory, risen, conquering Son,
endless is the victory thou o’er death hast won.

Lo! Jesus meets us, risen from the tomb;
lovingly he greets us, scatters fear and gloom;
let the Church with gladness hymns of triumph sing,
for her Lord now liveth; death hath lost its sting.

Thine be the glory, risen, conquering Son,

endless is the victory thou o’er death hast won.

No more we doubt thee, glorious Prince of life;
life is nought without thee: aid us in our strife;
make us more than conquerors, through thy deathless love:
bring us safe through Jordan to thy home above.

Thine be the glory, risen, conquering Son,

endless is the victory thou o’er death hast won.

For three days, Jesus lay buried,

His life spent on Calvary's tree

But death and hell could not hold him

He rose in victory

Prayer

God our Father, on this Glorious Easter day we come together to offer praise and adoration for Jesus.

We praise you Jesus - The risen one who is alive, powerful and victorious, the saviour of the world.

Lord without the resurrection of your son our faith would be empty and without hope, but He is alive and we rejoice in the knowledge that in Jesus all that separates, injures and destroys has been overcome by that which unites and heals and restores.

We praise you Jesus - The risen one who is alive, powerful and victorious, the saviour of the world.

We pray for your church today celebrating in clusters and crowds all over the world. We lift up those living under persecution for your name, may you strengthen, comfort and encourage them each day of their lives. We thankyou for the global Church and despite our language, race and nationalities being different, our worship is one and our praise for you united.

We praise you Jesus – The risen one who is alive, powerful and victorious, the saviour of the world.

We pray that your Spirit may guide and strengthen us all in mission and service to you to our own community and to the world outside in whatever way we can each contribute. We pray that salvation may spring up in Amersham, that the love of Jesus will bring life into each and every home. We pray that day by day as we seek your kingdom, may we draw closer to you, experiencing your infinite love for us.

We praise you Jesus – The risen one who is alive, powerful and victorious, the saviour of the world.

Lord we pray that your bride will bring you joy.
That each disciple will carry your light into a dark world that needs it.
We pray that the Spirit of the Lord will be upon us,
because you have called us to proclaim good news to the poor.
to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.
Help us to care for the last the least and the lost,
To favour the widow and the orphan,
To do justly, love mercy and walk humbly.
And to die to ourselves and allow Christ to live in us.

We praise you Father – The Lord of all creation, strong, merciful, righteous and loving.
We praise you Spirit – Our counsellor and guide, holy, kind, empowering friend.
We praise you Jesus – The risen one who is alive, powerful and victorious, the saviour of the world.

Amen
