About
Touching lightly on the imagery of Hosea being loyal to his wife and caring for her, and then speaking more specifically about Israel and how rebellious they were, draw out the similarity that we can also be like this with God.
We can be unloyal, sin, walk away from him. But God doesn't want to poor out his judgement on us (He will if necessary) but that he longs for us to turn around and say sorry.
Israel in this story did and thus he forgives them and saves them.
In the same way when we turn away from our sin He forgives us and saves us.
