About
Firstly, focus on the narrative of Hosea's wife and how she was unfaithful. Point out how Hosea would have felt, what would have been a fair reaction/response?
Then move onto Israel and draw out the attitude God had to Israel, willing to judge but desperate to save!
Then follow the comparisons, firstly of us, that we are symbolised by an unfaithful wife and then a sinful nation.
However, God is a loyal husband that will ignore all our rubbish to save us, and a loyal God to a nation that is desperate to help.
Draw this together by pointing to the theme of salvation throughout the narrative and that God is desperate to help us and save us because He loves us.
